Refuge & Feline Adoption Center

We began as a mother, a daughter and a neighbour helping a few homeless cats in the part of Vallarta where welived. Now though, with over 299 little orphans and many expenses as we try to create a shelter and adoption center in San Juan. We need to rely on help from kind- hearted people to make the dream come true. This not for profit association was officially founded on March 23rd of 2007 here in Mexico.

Paraíso Felino is located in San Juan de Abajo, Nayarit, just 25 minutes NE from the Puerto Vallarta International airport. (a right turn at Mezcales )

Our hope is also to use this refuge as a place where people in the community can learn about their pets and their surroundings. Facilitating spay/neuter services and providing an ecological education to those who come here.

OUR VISION- is to see better treatment of all animlas and the reduction in the overpopulation of cats and dogs. To arouse more consciousness in ecological matters.

OUR MISSION- is to provide a safe place for cats and kittens ( and the occasional puppy) with out a home, promote sterilization of dogs and cats, educate the local community about the care of their pets and the environrmet, to teach responsibility by example.

OUR GOALS- are to continue with the improving of infrastructure such as sidewalk, planters, and add on an education area for classes (first aid for pets and people, ecology in English), increase adoptions and adoption events, fund raisers, etc.
